Congratulations to our business winners

Evan Feather, the director and podiatrist at Rural Health, won the Outstanding Young Business Leader Award sponsored by the Murray Family.

Congratulations to the 2021 Tumut Region Business Awards recipients announced at the gala Awards and dinner evening on Tuesday, 3 August 2021 at the Tumut Club. The night was a huge success despite the many changes and adaptations required due to COVID restrictions in organise such an enormous event.

Thank you to all the amazing local regional businesses that entered. Nearly 140 entries were received for 10 different award categories. These were then narrowed down to three finalists competing to be the winner of each category. The judging was very tight and the judges were impressed by the quality of businesses put forward.

This year’s overall Snowy Hydro Business of the Year award was judged on how businesses have responded to the twin challenges of the bushfire disaster and COVID 19 pandemic over the last 2 years. It reflected our Awards theme Restore, Regenerate, Renew. Considering the impact of these events it was fitting that we recognised the extraordinary efforts of our regional businesses that continue to move forward together and be a vital part of our community.
