Business Snowy Valleys tops the state

Business Snowy Valleys (formerly Tumut Regional Chamber of Commerce) took out the Outstanding Local Chamber Award, for the Murray-Riverina in 2021. We also then went on to win Oustanding Local Chamber Award for the whole of New South Wales.

The devastating bushfires of 2019 had a huge ongoing impact on their community and Tumut Regional Chamber worked hard to support local businesses through establishing a gift card program in partnership with the Tumut Community Foundation to distribute the funds from Bushfire Appeals. This ensured that the funds raised remain in the community and rebuilt the local economy. Tumut Regional Chamber also advocated for displaced forestry workers to be re-engaged in other industries including the Snowy 2.0 Hydro project. This has resulted in workers & families not leaving their region in search of employment.
