Business Snowy Valley’s aim is to represent the interests of the business community of Adelong, Batlow, Talbingo and Tumut by providing independent support and advocacy. Business Snowy Valleys is an independent body run by volunteers.

    PRESIDENT

    Michael Hannah is a accomplished transport professional with over 40 years of experience working alongside some of largest transport companies in the country.

    Michael specialises in transport operations and customer service. Michael is currently employed by JJs Waste & Recycling as the Southern NSW Area Manager.

    Michael is passionate about supporting colleagues and uses his positive attitude to encourage others.

    Ian has experience in small businesses, including two startups, as well as a background in large corporate and business consulting roles. He is currently working on a business startup to develop and commercialize software to help people optimize their working lives. Ian is keen to collaborate with local businesses to help identify and develop opportunities for business growth and community engagement.

    Natalie has been in business in the Tumut region for over 21 years. Advising clients in her financial planning practice in that time, and before that as an accountant, Natalie is aware of the issues facing businesses in our region.

    Natalie is also a co-founder of Local Leading Ladies which was formed in 2018 as a women’s business networking group. The group has provided Natalie with further insights into the business needs in our area.

    Natalie is keen to bring local businesses together through the Business Chamber to network, learn and share ideas that help to grow businesses in our region.

    Angus is a Tumut fly fishing guide and outdoorsman. He sees the value of tourism and visitors to the area. 


    He is a small business owner and has a lot of admiration for the Snowy Valleys and its communities. 


    Angus has joined Business Snowy Valleys to contribute what time he can and support local businesses.

    PROJECT OFFICER

    The Project Officer position is a part-time paid position responsible for supporting the Executive Committee, marketing and communciations and working on specific projects as directed by the Committee.

    Kate Doust Howarth is the owner and operator of Kate Howarth Digital, an award-winning boutique communications agency based in Tumut, with clients nationwide, specialising in social media strategy and management, event and project management, copywriting and photography, print design and website design and website development.
